Deep steep

In addition to my mother's collection of art teapots, she also has various tea making accoutrements. My favorite is a steeping pot. She boils water in an electric kettle which she adds to the steeping pot. The hot water uniformly infuses the loose tea creating a rich cup of tea.

Lhasa Karnak's Hearthstone Tea (ginger root, rosehips, orange peel, dandelion root, comfrey root, lemon peel, and peony root). How do make a deep steep?

Gifts of tea

Several gifts of tea (loose leaf) are keeping me out of the grocery store tea aisle. This post is a dedication to my tea-gifting friends!

right: English Rose Tea: English Breakfast tea, organic rose petals

right: Andees organic darjeeling tea (India)

My friend, L, gave me three of the above teas. She also gave me a box of Boh Cameronian which I brought to a tea luncheon in January. I received the darjeeling from a college friend, S, who is a frequent traveller to India.
